How Covid helped Commerce
August 22, 2020
Amongst the many roles I perform on a daily basis as it pertains to the online world. I spend 2-3 hours of my day as a consultant for a very large company. My sole responsibility is to navigate people in the correct direction. The people I work with are everyday people and the majority of them are much more familiar with the brick and mortar aspect of business and have not the slightest idea of the online world. When Covid hit, people had to shut down their brick and mortar and had no source of income. Let’s look at restaurants for example. People need to eat, restaurants were shut down, people had to make their own food. That might have been fine if we were still in the 1950’s but in 2020, that’s not gonna fly. We want our to go food and we want it now!
What if we could keep our doors closed but still sell our food to our customers? Brilliant idea but how? eCommerce, what the hell is eCommerce? I make pasta for a living, I don’t have a degree in computer science. If I had a nickel… well, you know how that one ends. My point is people are realizing they need to pivot and they need someone to navigate that path for them. This is where Rockpoint Media can help you. If you’re in a pinch and need help pivoting, reach out to us, we’ll do our best to help you navigate through all the technical online challenges and make sure you’re on the right path.
